Certification Process
The Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP®) certification process involves a series of evaluations, including an application review and a multiple-choice exam
A panel of portfolio managers reviews your application and experience based on your responses to the Portfolio Management Experience Summaries.
If you pass the application review, you can schedule an exam appointment and pay registration fees. The exam is a computer-based test with 170 multiple-choice questions that you must complete in four hours. You must score at least 170 out of 200 to pass.
If you pass the exam, you receive the PfMP® award, which is valid for five years. You can extend the certificate by completing Professional Development Units (PDUs) every five years.
